Our heart rate is slowly getting back to normal following yesterday’s incredible All-Ireland Hurling Final between Kilkenny and Tipperary. The game finished in a draw for the third year in a row so we’ll have another day out on Saturday, September 27.
The neutrals loved the game yesterday but imagine being a fan of either side, it must have been absolute torture in the closing stages. The free against Brian Hogan, John O’Dwyer’s free, HawkEye and the final whistle, it was the sort of drama you just couldn’t write.
To get an insight into exactly what those moments were like for a Kilkenny fan, you need to check out this video of Richie Ryan that was sent to us by Niamh Dowd who is living in Canada. Richie is native of the Marble City and the end of the game was almost too much for him.
