Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez played at the Nou Camp in Barcelona colours for the last time in a competitive fixture today and he was given the send-off he richly deserved ahead of his departure to play with Qatari side Al-Sadd next season. Before the game, the Barcelona fans unveiled a huge banner in tribute to the classy midfielder and he got just a little bit emotional when he was replaced in the second half to a rapturous reception and when he made a speech following the final whistle. https://twitter.com/FCBarcelona/status/602198723578503168

Arguably the greatest midfielder of his era, it was fitting that Barcelona got to lift the La Liga trophy in his last game at the Nou Camp.
If all goes to plan, there could be two more trophies to follow before the final chapter of his Barcelona career comes to a close.
