VIDEO: Will Ferrell now owns a Major League Soccer side, seriously
Rob Burgundy is now taking the Roman Abramovich route.
Not content with being a global film star, Will Ferrell is now taking on the world of football.
The Los Angeles Football Club is the latest MLS franchise and the team is set to join the big league in 2018, with Will Ferrell as one of its co-owners.
The Anchorman legend, who will be running the club along with other star names, like Magic Johnson, was unveiled in a press conference and began by stating that “this is not a joke.”

We were surprised as anybody when we found out that football (our version, not theirs) was Will's favourite sport, but then again he did appear in Soccer Aid a couple of times and proved to be quite handy.

With Miami Beckham United also set to join the MLS, the American league is set to become just as interesting off the pitch as it is on it.
