Manchester City were due to kick off their Champions League campaign at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach this evening, but it has been postponed due to fairly awful weather conditions in Manchester.

While the temperatures reached and even exceeded 30 degrees in London on Tuesday, it was a different story further to the north, where thunder, lightning and torrential rain prevailed.
A pitch inspection took place on the normally pristine Etihad Stadium pitch, but as you can see below, there wasn’t much inspecting to do.
