Our money would be on the Ivorian in a scrap…
With all the bromantic love being spread around the Etihad Stadium between Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho, it might have been easy to overlook the fact that Man City v Chelsea was a heated affair with tackles, drama and a red card.
Lampard’s goal may have rescued a vital point for the champions, but Yaya Touré wasn’t in as much of a friendly mood as his new teammate. Just take a look at the 6″3 Ivorian picking on poor little Eden Hazard.
Touré playfully slaps the Belgian a few times in the tunnel – we presume it was because Hazard stole his pre-match cake – but a slap from Yaya Touré would still hurt we imagine.
The Chelsea man had the last laugh though, after his sublime pass set up André Schürrle for Chelsea’s opener.
Take a look…
