It’s been quite the year for Irish rugby.
Irish rugby has rarely ever been in a better state. Six Nations champions and winning all of our November international matches including two against the behemoths of Southern Hemisphere rugby, South Africa and Australia.
The RTÉ sports department have a penchant for releasing superb rugby promo videos and we take a look as some of their best work from 2014:

Probably our greatest ever player, 2014 will also always be remembered for it being the final time we got to see the legendary Brian O’Driscoll in the green jersey on Irish soil.

This video did the rounds ahead of the Six Nations tournament. Shot from the perspective of an Irish rugby fan’s ritual on match-day. It also features some familiar faces.
