Ander Herrera took his long-awaited bow at Old Trafford tonight, as Manchester United played Valencia. The 24-year-old, who turns 25 on Thursday, looked neat, tidy and every inch the polished product you expect from the Spanish underage production line.
He played 76 minutes pockmarked with some fine touches, but this control and awareness was the highlight as he took a ball out of the sky and then made space for himself with ease.
