Hats off to you Madison Bumgarner, though we think you did dribble more than you chugged.
As we have seen in the last few days, GAA team celebrations are fairly hectic but the lads over in the MLB are doing their best to play catch up. We’ve already brought you the NSFW shot from the A’s dressing room last week and overnight another incident occured, but this time it didn’t involve any unfortunate body parts.
Instead it was the San Francisco Giants celebrating their crushing 8-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the wildcard game to book their place in the playoffs outright.
Star of the show on and off the field was pitcher Madison Bumgarner. The 25-year old pitched the entire game, a rare feat these days, and he didn’t allow a single score for the Pirates, striking out 10 and allowing only four hits on 109 pitches. It was a pitching masterclass.
After all that work, Bumgarner deserved a drink, and he agreed, so he had four at the same time, just like Stone Cold Steve Austin would do back in the day.
