We love a good own goal here in JOE. The more spectacular the better. This one was scored in the Bundesliga over the weekend as FSV Mainz 05 defeated Augsburg 3-0 and it's a cracker.
The keeper pushes the initial shot onto the post. The ball bounces off the post in front of one of the defenders who leathers it square into the keeper's face from where it ricochets across the line.
It's not clear whether the keeper was knocked out by the impact, but if he wasn't, he has earned serious kudos. That's a blow which would knock out most heavyweight boxers.
