Legendary Spanish striker David Villa was in tears on the bench earlier knowing he had just played his last ever game for Spain.
David Villa scored to put Spain 1-0 up against Australia this afternoon, but he was then substituted shortly after half-time and knowing it was his last game ever for Spain, the emotion obviously got to him.
At least he went out on a high and we’re sure the smile will return to his face when he remembers that he’ll be playing alongside Damien Duff in Melbourne next season; what a partnership that’s going to be.
