Vine: Hamburg players four-on-one with the Bremen keeper who helps them with an OG

Absolutely mortified for the player who missed the tap-in.

Absolutely mortified for the player who missed the tap-in.

Hamburg played Werder Bremen in the big Northern Derby of the Bundesliga on Sunday and the game produced one of the most bizarre things we’ve seen on a football pitch in a while.

With Hamburg leading 1-0 in the closing stages, Bremen threw caution to the wind by having a right go.

Obviously, they left huge gaps at the back as four, yes FOUR, Hamburg players advanced on goal with only the Bremen keeper to beat.

They still managed to make a balls of it, but it somehow all worked out for Hamburg in the end. Comedy of errors.

Just how did the Hamburg player miss the tap-in? They still won 2-0 but it’ll be a while before they live that down.

Hat-tip to Domenic.
