JOE is absolutely delighted for Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane after his extra-time goal gave LA Galaxy their 5th MLS title following a hard fought 2-1 win over New England Revolution.

The MLS MVP proved to be the game's VIP - collective shudder after typing that sentence - but Keane, in spite of his poorly-designed boots, celebrated in style with his teammates after the final whistle.

The smart money is on Ireland's record goalscorer taking to the stage to sing some karaoke songs after these celebrations and who can blame him...

Since Keane is based in LA we're fairly certain that a movie will be based on his life very soon. Our money is on either Ryan Gosling or Danny de Vito to play him in the upcoming biopic.
