Courtesy of Sky Sports News we shall now call the third point kicked by a player 'a hat-trick point'.

Whenever the history of the GAA in this period is written, Dublin's Cormac Costello is going to be credited as the man who kicked the first ever 'hat-trick point' in the sport. The young Dub came on as a sub yesterday, and scored three points as Dublin put the hurt on Laois late on. And when the highlights of the game were shown on Sky Sports News, Costello's third score was dubbed 'a hat-trick point'. Dean Rock, who also came on and nabbed a 'hat-trick point' must be raging.   Hat-tip to Balls.ie
