VINE: Thierry Henry’s face after Gareth Barry was mentioned as an England great is priceless

Paul Moore

He was so close to bursting out laughing.

Everton fans might want to turn their TV’s off this evening after Martinez’ men suffered a 1-2 defeat at home to Swansea in Francesco Guidolin’s first match in charge. Goals from Sigurdsson and Ayew proved to be the difference at Goodison Park but as always, Thierry Henry was part of Sky’s punditry team ahead of the match.

Gareth Barry has arguably been Everton’s most consistent performer this season and the former Aston Villa/Man City man has been an incredibly shrewd acquisition since he joined the club on a permanent deal in 2014.

The holding midfielder has been excellent for the Toffees but take a look at Henry’s face when host Ed Chamberlain quotes Roberto Martinez’ belief that “Gareth Barry is one of the best players England have had”.

Henry must be a Scholes, Gerrard or Heskey type of man.

Quite a few people picked up on the Arsenal legends reaction.
