The effects of high-impact collisions in the game of rugby has been the subject of plenty of discussion of late and you won’t see hits much bigger than one from Super Rugby earlier today.
Mikey Harris of the Melbourne Rebels wasn’t exactly braced for impact when he came up against Dave Dennis of the NSW Waratahs, who nailed Harris just as he was releasing the ball. Ouch.

Harris, to his credit, not only picked himself off the ground but set up a try almost immediately afterwards to draw the Rebels level, with the Waratahs eventually emerging ten-point winners.
He’s made of hardy stuff.
