Fight, fight fight!

No more than any other sport, cycling is very competitive and that competitiveness can often spill over into something a little more unpleasant when tempers start to flare.

Gianluca Brambilla and Ivan Rovny went at it during La Vuelta a Espana today, spending the best part of a minute engaged in a bout of handbags that can’t have done much to aid their progress during the stage.

From watching footage (the video has since been taken down) it’s not very apparent what exactly caused the row to erupt but we’ll have to defer to the expertise of Eurosport co-commentator Sean Kelly, who seemed to think that it was a pace-setting issue that got a little out of hand.

So this is what cycling is like when spokes fly, wha? *JOE goes to get coat*
