The La Liga title race is wide open after Sevilla beat Real 2-1 and the winning goal was all thanks to some sublime work by Ivan Rakitic.

After losing the Clasico at the weekend, Real Madrid went down again tonight, though this one was much more of a surprise. Sevilla nabbed a 2-1 win and with Atletico Madrid beating Granada 1-0, plus a win for Barca against Celta Vigo, things are looking a bit sticky for Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. Sevilla played well tonight, but one man, Ivan Rakitic, was inspired. The Croatian was great all night but one moment of sheer magic turned the game, and the league title, on its head. Rakitic performed a sensational flick to beat Pepe, before spinning around the defender at the halfway line, sprinting away from him and then slipping a perfect ball into Bacca to score the winner.
