People that play sports traditionally haven’t always been comfortable speaking about their personal issues to their colleagues.

Cuala GAA are attempting to change that attitude with a video promoting a positive attitude to mental health.

Cuala, who were Dublin county hurling champions last year, have put together a video that they say “offers a meaningful, much-needed and common sense approach to caring for our mental health and how we can practically support ourselves and each other through the challenges life will present”.

With a theme that stresses that treating your mental health is as important as treating your physical health, it is a powerful and admirable piece of work with a message that will hopefully be taken on board by GAA clubs nationwide.
