One of the unlikeliest stars of Euro 2016 in the summer was former Manchester United legend Eric Cantona, who appeared, bare-chested at times, in a series of videos for Eurosport.
The clips were about as bonkers as you’d expect from a man who once delivered a famous quote about seagulls following a trawler, with Cantona, amongst other things, praising the Irish fans and applying for the England job.
Cantona’s thespian qualities certainly shone through, as they do yet again in his latest clip, where he reflects on the state of play at his former club and asserts that it could be a lot of worse for José Mourinho and some underperforming big-name signings.
In the space of just over three and half minutes, he also describes Mesut Ozil’s goal in the Champions League in midweek as a “pure football orgasm,” describes Lionel Messi as “a poor man’s Justin Bieber” and takes a pop at the President of France.
