The reigning PFA Player of the Year is a dab hand with a hurley.
The two of them are outstanding exponents of their own sports, but it’s hard to envisage a situation where Monaghan’s star man Conor McManus and Riyad Mahrez would end up sharing a pitch together.
As the pair of them are ambassadors for Eir Sport, they came together for a keepy-uppy challenge recently, testing their ability to control a soccer ball, a Gaelic football, a rugby ball and a sliotar with a hurley.
Given his complete unfamiliarity with a hurley, Mahrez did a pretty decent job of keeping the sliotar in the air, but the best player in the Premier League last season had to play second fiddle to one of the best forwards in Gaelic Football this time around.
