WATCH: Euphoric scenes as Tipperary fans celebrate their All-Ireland win on Hill 16

Paul Moore

Wonderful.

Tipperary fans would agree that an All-Ireland hurling title has been long overdue but that six year wait was due to the remarkable standards, skill and hunger that Brian Cody’s sides have possessed over the years.

There’s no denying thought that the Premier County were the dominant team in the 2016 showpiece as they outclassed the Cats by 2-15 to 2-08 at Croke Park.

2010 was the last time that the Liam McCarthy trophy was staying in Tipp but goals from John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer and John McGrath, along with Seamus Callanan’s remarkable 13 point haul, have ended that wait.

Tipp fans have been waiting for this day and who can deny them their moment of celebration.

Take a look.
