WATCH: Everton’s tribute to Seamus Coleman is simply fantastic

JOE

Everyone is behind him.

It has been only three days since Seamus Coleman suffered a horrendous double leg fracture due to a Neil Taylor tackle in Ireland’s 0-0 draw with Wales.

Since then, supporters of both Ireland and Everton have been coming to terms with the long, impending absence of the Donegal full-back.

Tributes to the 29-year-old have been coming from far and wide as people look to offer their support.

It is this support network which will hopefully help Coleman get through the incredibly tough months ahead.

Martin O’Neill confirmed today that the Ireland captain is only beginning to come to terms with the injury now but is confident that he has the right people around him to assist him in his recovery.

His time out from the game is undoubtedly a blow to Ireland but his club will also be feeling the effects of the devastating injury.

Coleman has made 28 appearances for the Merseyside club already this season, so his importance to Ronald Koeman is clear.

They will take some consolation in the fact that they will be compensated by FIFA due to his injury.

The player is definitely admired at Goodison Park and the club have just released a tribute video, which we must say, is brilliant.

It consists of some great goals he has scored this season and more importantly, it gives evidence of his excellent character as it includes some heart-warming footage of the Donegal man spending time with Everton’s Down Syndrome team.
