Since then, supporters of both Ireland and Everton have been coming to terms with the long, impending absence of the Donegal full-back.

Martin O'Neill confirmed today that the Ireland captain is only beginning to come to terms with the injury now but is confident that he has the right people around him
to assist him in his recovery.
His time out from the game is undoubtedly a blow to Ireland but his club will also be feeling the effects of the devastating injury.
Coleman has made 28 appearances for the Merseyside club already this season, so his importance to Ronald Koeman is clear.
They will take some consolation in the fact that they will be compensated by
FIFA due to his injury.
The player is definitely admired at Goodison Park and the club have just released a
