New York isn’t going to know what hit it.
The countdown is very much on to UFC 205, with just over a fortnight to go until Conor McGregor faces off with Eddie Alvarez in Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Rightly described as the most iconic venue in all of combat sports, ‘The Garden’ will host the first UFC event ever to take place in New York and as the biggest draw in the organisation right now, it’s only fitting that ‘The Notorious’ is at the top of the bill.
McGregor will be seeking to become the first UFC fighter to be a champion in two weight divisions at the same time, which, added to the fact that it’s the first UFC fight in New York City, makes it one of the most anticipated bouts in UFC history.
Fittingly, the UFC have delivered a nine-minute extended preview which doesn’t even attempt to dampen the hype…
