WATCH: Gary Neville uses great ‘Miss World’ analogy to describe David Luiz’s return to Chelsea
Well played Gary.
Friday Night Football is still in its early days, but the more relaxed format and almost forced ‘banter’ amongst the studio guests hasn’t been universally received by audiences.
We’re not sure if Gary Neville (who is at Stamford Bridge) was trying to be on message ahead of Liverpool v Chelsea this evening, but he did come up with a brilliant, self-deprecating line to describe David Luiz’s return to the Blues.
Neville, who’s never been a huge fan of the Brazilian, was surprised that a manager like Antonio Conte, who worked with some brilliant out and out defenders with Juventus, would opt to work with someone as flamboyant and as unpredictable as the Sideshow Bob lookalike.
He had to take a few seconds to come up with a fitting analogy, but he delivered it very well when he did.
"It's a bit like me and Miss World!" 😂 https://t.co/KssfLxYSz1
