WATCH: Injured GAA player makes a miraculous recovery after hearing final whistle

Alan Loughnane

A Wexford miracle…

Ferns GAA took on St Martin’s in a group game in the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship over the weekend.

Ferns ran out 1-13 to 15 points winners over their rivals in a hard fought affair that went down to the final minute of the game.

In one of the last pucks of the game, a Ferns player is on the receiving end of some kind of scalp and collapses on the ground from his apparent injuries. One member of the coaching team rushes to his side to be sure his life isn’t in danger.

Then, the final whistle goes…

We love the abrupt change of direction from the first person on the scene who runs off to celebrate.

Also, we don’t doubt for a second that the player himself was hurt, he just heard the whistle and got a burst of adrenalin which masked the throbbing pain he had been experiencing…

Cheers to Lar Sutton for sending this our way.
