The 48 Irish athletes that comprised the Irish team deserved a rapturous welcome when they returned to Dublin and we're delighted to say that they received one.
Having won 11 medals in Rio de Janeiro, the team managed to eclipse the medal target that was set out by Paralympics Ireland as they finished 28th in the overall medal table.
The team left Brazil on Tuesday afternoon and touched down in Dublin this afternoon.
Take a look as they're greeted by hordes of fans, friends and family members as they come through the Arrival doors in Terminal One of Dublin Airport.
