Jonathan Sexton helped swat aside the challenge of Wasps in the Aviva Stadium today as he slotted 12 points to help Leinster to a 32-17 win.
Leinster dominated the opening exchanges and were rewarded for their first-half form with a 22-3 lead at half-time, a lead that prompted commentator and former Wasps' player Lawrence Dallaglio to proclaim the game was over at the break.
Wasps did fight back in the second-half reducing the deficit to eight points before Leinster managed to take the sting out of their attack, adding another try from Fergus McFadden to put the result beyond doubt.
While Joey Carbery caught the eye with his man of the match performance, Sexton was equally influential as he conducted proceedings from the 10 channel.
He can be very happy with his performance, as can Sean O'Brien, Dan Leavy and many others.
Some people are just looking for their 12 seconds of fame, and we saw this earlier in the season when Tadhg Furlong was being interviewed after the game against Northampton.

Post match, Sexton was being interviewed about his performance, and his interview was also interrupted by a far more welcome guest... his son Luca.
