A lovely way to end the year.

Liverpool have posted a little video that goes back over the high and lows of their 2018, and within the video there is a lovely tribute to Sean Cox.

Just last week, Martina Cox, Sean Cox’s wife, has released a statement thanking the public for their ongoing support which has seen the Support Seán campaign currently raise €1.1 million to help with his treatment.

Sean Cox, from Dunboyne in Co Meath, is still recovering in hospital after he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury after being assaulted ahead of the Champions League semi-final tie between Liverpool and Roma on 24 April.

Seamus Coleman, Jürgen Klopp, AS Roma and a recent charity match between Dublin and Meath have all helped raise funds to help pay for the medical bills.

Martina Cox has said that her husband “no longer has a feeding tube so is starting to eat and drink again with the help of the wonderful nursing staff.”

She also added that her husband “is continuing to make progress.” You can read the statement in full right here.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s video is full of other talking points across their year, including their new signings and their biggest wins and best goals.
