Not a dry-eye in the house.

Munster have honoured Anthony Foley’s memory in the best possible way by beating Glasgow Warriors by 38-17 at Thomond Park in their Champions Cup opener.

If the pre-match atmosphere was emotional then things were amped up even more when they game kicked-off because Munster played like a team that were never going to lose this match, despite the fact that they had to play the guts of an hour with 14 men after Keith Earls was sent off,.

Tries from Bleyendaal, Taute, Zebo, Scannell and a penalty try were an indication of Munster’s utter dominance in a display that would have made their former captain proud.

After the match, the men in red were joined by Foley’s two sons on the field as they gave an incredibly emotional rendition of Munster’s trademark anthem, Stand Up and Fight.
