What a fantastic moment.
It seems like an age ago at this stage, but the highlight from the Euros from an Irish perspective for many an Irish fan was the fantastic and hugely emotional moment Robbie Brady shared with his brothers and girlfriend following Ireland’s victory over Italy. Brady, of course, went on to score the penalty against France that had us all dreaming of what might have been, but when the Brady family look back on the tournament in years to come, it will no doubt be the Italy game and the aftermath that comes to the forefront in their minds. UEFA obviously thought so too because it is one of a number of special moments captured in a brief thank you video to the fans at Euro 2016; as you’d expect, there’s an obligatory Iceland clap and ‘Will Grigg’s on Fire’ from the Northern Ireland fans too. https://twitter.com/UEFA/status/751415412777185280 A lovely touch.Explore more on these topics:
