Mad for this.
We imagine that not everything is all smiles and sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine in the Manchester City camp right now as the future of Joe Hart remains uncertain. This being said, Pep Guardiola’s side made the best possible start to their league campaign following their 2-1 win against Sunderland.
While tactics nerds were drooling over the more attack minded positional play of City’s full-backs Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna, City’s new £47.5m centre-back John Stones also made his league debut for the club.
The 22-year-old has already established himself in the Premier League but Soccer AM took to the streets of Manchester to ask City fans if they think that Stones has what it takes to become a Man City legend.
To quote a previous skit from Manchester TV, “couldn’t have said it better myself”.
John Stones' cagoule is making him a fan favourite at #MCFC. https://t.co/ybw1Pp7Mnn
