WATCH: Famous GAA faces recall their fond memories of playing Minor football and hurling

In what might not come as a huge surprise, it was Marty Morrissey who said that when asked what advice he’d give to his younger self; you might not know that Marty played in goals for the Clare Minor footballers in his youth. The charismatic RTÉ commentator was one of a host of famous faces to look back on his minor career in a lovely promo for the Electric Ireland All-Ireland minor finals which take place later this month. According to a study conducted by Electric Ireland, a massive 94% of people in Ireland believe that sport positively impacts on a person's life. 70% of Irish males who played sport as a teenager have credited it to benefiting their lives. Many of the JOE team play for our clubs and couldn't imagine our lives without the camaraderie and craic that only your local team can provide. We've taken many of the skills we've learned on the pitch and applied them Legendary commentator Micheál Ó’Muircheartaigh, Dublin footballer Michael Darragh McCauley, former Olympic boxer Darren O'Neill and former Westmeath footballer Bressie also talked about togging out for their counties as minors, one of life's great milestones.
