McGregor’s next fight?
It’s just over a week since Conor McGregor made UFC history by becoming the first man to hold two UFC belts simultaneously.
A lot has happened since that day…
Ireland took on New Zealand for a second time and came up short. Blindboy appeared on the Late Late and once again made more sense than most of the suit-wearing politicians. And the most important of all, a pub in Leitrim announced that they would be having €1 pints of Guinness on Black Friday.
Dana White also revealed that The Notorious is unlikely to fight again before May next year so as to be present for the pregnancy and birth of his first child with long-term girlfriend Dee Devlin.
“He won’t fight before May,” White told the LA Times. “His girl gets super stressed out when he fights. He doesn’t want her having any of that stress while she’s pregnant.
“He’s good. He should take time off. He’s been fighting nonstop. Nothing wrong with him taking time off. It’s good for him and her and it’s good for the baby.”
If ever a video summed up how McGregor’s fights affect his family, it’s this footage of his girlfriend during his most recent fight with Eddie Alvarez.

But what is on the horizon for The Notorious when he makes his return to the cage next year? A trilogy fight with Nate Diaz? A rematch with Jose Aldo? A fight with Floyd Mayweather?
Well, many seem to think the man most deserving of a fight with McGregor is the undefeated Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
He annihilated Michael Johnson at UFC 205 to cement his spot as the #1 contender at lightweight, and YouTube user The Dublin Warrior has cut together this brilliant promo for the potential fight.
