What a performance…
Ireland’s Thomas Barr won his semi-final of the 400m hurdles to qualify for the final of the race on Thursday.
The Waterford native beat his own national record as he booked his spot in the final with a time of 48.39.
Barr started well in the early hours of this morning and was in a good position coming into the final bend before he found another gear and kicked on to win.
He was the third fasted qualifier for Thursday’s final so that should ensure a favourable lane draw.
Kerron Clement was the fastest qualifier for the final clocking in a time of 48.26 seconds…
We’re all behind you Thomas…
