You have to hand it to those folks who work in the promotional part of TV companies, because sometimes they really earn those cheques, because this promo is sure to get people talking.
First of all, and lest we forget, Wales are chasing after that Grand Slam, while Ireland will win the Six Nations outright if they defeat Wales in Cardiff and Scotland beat England at Twickenham.
Not that you’d know too much of that from Virgin Media One’s new promo for the match, which is taking up a tale of supporting the underdog and expecting the unexpected.
It kicks off with footage of Elvis, the Moon Landing, JFK, and Muhammad Ali.
However, it quickly takes a turn into uncharted territory, as it aligns the possibility of Ireland winning alongside the “Anything could happen!” likelihood of weird things that definitely did happen, like Trump getting elected, Brexit being voted through, and Mike Tyson being defeated in the ring.
Like we said, if nothing else, it will definitely get people talking.
