"I have always liked Roy Keane. He's straightforward and brutal."

Kristof Terreur is a sports' journalist for Belgium's leading newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws. He's been talking to JOE about the eagerly anticipated clash of Ireland and Belgium in Bordeaux on Saturday. g4ELom-R_400x400 (Pic via: twitter.com) JOE: Who’s going win our game and why? I think Belgium. Purely because we have more individual qualities. JOE: Who are Belgian fans/pundits talking about on the Ireland team?  There hasn't been that much talk of Ireland (until this week). Only Jan Vertonghen said some things about the Irish - that they are aware of them and the danger of Shane Long. Most of Ireland's players are quite unknown to the Belgians too.

I don't know a lot about Martin O'Neill, but he has an interesting background and has a good reputation. I have always liked Roy Keane. As a player, as a pundit. He's straightforward and brutal. He gives colour to football. JOE: What do you know about the Irish fans? Not a lot, but I've seen some great clips on YouTube. I expect them to steal the atmosphere show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmiKKVMrwJ8 JOE: Do you think Ireland/Belgium will get out of the group? I think it will be difficult, but it will be a close contest, even with Belgium. There are four different teams, all with their different style of play. JOE: Can either of us win the Euros outright? No. Reaching the Semi-finals would be a success for Belgium too. We don't dream about it yet as we have our weaknesses too. JOE: For Irish fans at the Euros – what’s the perfect way to strike up conversation with friendly Belgians in Bordeaux this weekend?! Conversations about beer will always work!
