Arguably the most solid franchise in the movies right now has lined up the most famous female MMA star in the world for their next flick.
After an uncertain few films, it is now clear that the Fast and Furious franchise knows what it is doing. It has a formula, and a fanbase, and it knows how to feed both. They also know how to blend in names that will appeal to its fans.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson arrived for Fast Five and in Fast Six, MMA star Gina Carano was added to the mix. So with Fast and Furious 7 set to start shooting soon, rumour has it that UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to make an appearance.
Variety report that Rousey is in talks to star in the film, just weeks after she was added to the cast of The Expendables 3.
Quite how Rousey will fit in two films, as well as train for her fight with Meisha Tate on December 28, is anyone’s guess but we wish her all the best.
