Martin Kaymer has raced into an eight shot lead at the US Open in Pinehurst, the German shot another 65 today to leave him on -10 at the halfway stage of the tournament.
Kaymer built on yesterday’s brilliant opening round by picking up five birdies in a bogey-free round this afternoon, his nearest challengers are on -2. Six players are on that score including Graeme McDowell, who tees off later this evening.
Of the other Irish players, Rory McIlroy is +1, he also tees off later while Shane Lowry is +6 and Darren Clarke is +7, they’re both in the clubhouse.
