Zlatan Ibrahimović marks his LA Galaxy debut with a ridiculous 40-yard volley

Ridiculous

Zlatan Ibrahimović has marked his MLS debut in some style.

The Swedish striker joined LA Galaxy from Manchester United last week and made his bow in the first-ever Los Angeles derby against LAFC.

Zlatan came off the bench to win the game, scoring twice in a 4-3 win and finding the back of the net with a ridiculous volley from 40 yards out.

His time in the United States was never going to be boring, but few could have predicted the former Juventus and Barcelona forward would start his MLS career in such fashion.

The striker came off the bench with 20 minutes to play and with his side trailing by two goals. He got the equaliser within six minutes, hitting a brilliant volley from at least 40 yards out:

Then, in the final minute, Ibrahimović won the game for LA Galaxy, nodding home a cross into the box.

Of course, as this is MLS, the goalkeeping for both goals left a lot to be desired, but Zlatan has been a match-winner everywhere he has played, and he looks set to take American soccer by storm.

After the match, Zlatan was typically modest.
