Lance Armstrong has been totally damned as a major player and part of the doping problem in cycling over the past fifteen years in USADA’s long awaited report this evening.
The US Anti-Doping Agency has finally delivered its report into doping in the US Postal Service Team toniight
The body, which has delivered its findings to cycling governing body the UCI, who have yet to respond, says that it uncovered proof that former 7-time Tour De France Champion Lance Armstrong used, possessed and distributed performance enhancing substances during his career in a 1000page report available here.
The report describes the US Postal team’s doping programme as "a program organized by individuals who thought they were above the rules and who still play a major and active role in sport today."
Eleven of Amstrong's former teammates testified against him including Frankie Andreu, Michael Barry, Tom Danielson, Tyler Hamilton, George Hincapie, Floyd Landis, Levi Leipheimer, Stephen Swart, Christian Vande Velde, Jonathan Vaughters and David Zabriskie.
Other witnesses and scientific evidence also supports this finding during the lengthy report which concludes that Armstrong merely didn’t take drugs, he enforced the culture of cheating: “The evidence is overwhelming that Lance Armstrong did not just use performance enhancing drugs, he supplied them to his teammates. He did not merely go alone to Dr. Michele Ferrari for doping advice, he expected that others would follow. It was not enough that his teammates give maximum effort on the bike, he also required that they adhere to the doping program outlined for them or be replaced.”
There’ll be a few yellow bracelets thrown in the bin tonight.
