We’re going to see a lot of balls go into the water in Augusta this weekend, but none of them will be hit as terribly as Caroline Woznicaki’s tee-shot during the Par Three tournament yesterday.
The Danish tennis player was in Augusta acting as caddie for boyfriend Rory McIlroy during the Par Three tournament that none of the top guys ever want to win for fear of being jinxed by the fact that nobody who has ever won it has gone on to win the actual Masters itself.
Possibly with that in mind, Rory allowed Caroline to tee-up at one of the holes and although tennis is her game, we expected a little better from a professional athlete like Wozniacki, who had to endure good-natured cheers from the Augusta faithful as she duffed it straight into the water about 20 yards from the tee-box.

All in good fun, of course, and Rory was on hand to give a consolation high-five afterwards athough, given the competitive animal he is, we can't help but think he was secretly seething on the inside (only joking, obviously).
Afterwards, golf pundits attributed Wozniacki’s terrible shot to the fact that she has yet to adjust to Rory’s new Nike golf clubs but if the man himself hits any shots like that over the course of the next two days he’ll be gone out of Augusta by Friday evening.
