It just keeps surging.

Anyone who currently owns Bitcoin will be rubbing their hands together this morning.

After a surge last week, the cryptocurrency has continue to break its own personal bests and as of this morning is worth no less than €8100. The price of one Bitcoin has surged by about €300 since yesterday afternoon.

Today, the currency opened at $9326 and has continued to climb, reaching a peak of $9,702 so far. It has been an astronomical improvement for the currency which has spent most of its history rising and dipping in value in shallow peaks and troughs.

At this time last year, one Bitcoin was only worth about €600, meaning the cryptocurrency is more than 10 times stronger against the Euro than it was at the same time 12 months ago.

According to CoinDesk, Bitcoin’s price has continued to increase throughout the day, following a trend that has been steady throughout the last week.
