Deezer announces some updates, with one very important one that could really change the music streaming service

If you use Dropbox, then you will know that it’s a fantastic and easily integrated system that makes for a seamless transition between your files and what you have on Dropbox, It also allows you to share files with friends and family, and it’s hugely popular because it makes sense and works well.

With that in mind, it seems that the music folks at Deezer have taken notice and their latest update to their music streaming service will integrate your existing music collection with your Deezer collection in the cloud, as well as allowing you to share with other users.

The app is both a simple and slimmer player interface than using the website, but just like Dropbox, a folder will appear within your explorer window with your Deezer library, which is a huge bonus that makes it much easier and more natural to browse.

Your own music will also enter the Deezer eco system so that you can take your own collection on the go anywhere you want to, something which we’re really excited about for listening to a few tunes in the car.

Deezer CEO Axel Dauchez announced the launch of this new light and simple app today, at iconic jazz bar Ronnie Scott’s in London, and stated that it was aimed at the music love who has poured both love and time into their library, but still needs to hook their device up to the computer to transfer or burns CDs for the car. This will give them access to new music, their music and everything else that Deezer offer on the go.

That wasn’t all though, as Dauchez also announced that there will be new ways to browse and discover music through the app and the website, where you will now be able to search by region, label, genre, and interestingly enough by the era which the music comes from. You can also get playlists and recommendations from Deezer editors and experts in different regions with the new ‘Hear This’ feature.

They also announced that their collection is now up to 30 million tracks, making it a hugely impressive library to browse through, especially with the new features. If you’re not familiar with Deezer already, check out JOE’s review, we’re big fans.
