Eir customers across the country yesterday were left hanging as a major outage left many without broadband.
At the time, Eir said: “We are aware of a widespread DNS outage which is impacting some customers on both our fixed and mobile networks. Our engineers are working to correct.”
Service remained down until roughly 2:30am on Sunday 14 October, according to a spokesperson for the company.
In a statement on Twitter, Eir wrote: “We have resolved the outage impacting @eir customers and once again apologise for the inconvenience to our customers.”
The service had been down since the middle of the day on Saturday.
