Featuring Super Mario Kart, Tekken, Goldeneye and much, much more.
Christmas has come early for retro video games enthusiasts in the Dublin area, who will be able to indulge their passion for some stonewall classics at an event in the capital this weekend.
This Saturday, October 22, The Back Page pub in Phibsboro will host the RetroGaming.ie Royal Rumble, a series of tournaments of ‘90s video games such as Super Mario Kart, Street Fighter II Turbo, Tekken 3, GoldenEye and Mario Kart 64.
There will be retro gaming goodies dished out all day for every tournament and an overall Retro King prize for the best gamer of the day.
Participants can enter as many events as they like on the day by paying €5 for each tournament or €15 for a day pass to play in as many events as they like.
Organisers expect the event to sell out quickly, so if you want to take part, get over to the event page and secure your ticket as soon as possible.
There’s going to be a lot of sore thumbs come Sunday morning…
