JOE Tech: We unbox the new Huawei P8 smartphone

We think we're ready to jump on the unboxing video bandwagon.

The unbox video has gained huge popularity in recent years. There's one particular lady on YouTube who unboxes Disney toys and her videos have gained her a massive audience. Here at JOE we've decided to give this unboxing malarkey a go ourselves and, seeing as Disney toys are already taken, we'll give it a blast with the new Huawei P8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKsFP6hy9-0&feature=youtu.be We're very impressed with what we saw too. Design The design is very impressive, which is unsurprising if you consider that every phone is carved from a solid block. It's absolutely flat and the attention to detail is fantastic with Chamfered edges for better grip and comfort. It's width is only 6.4 mm which is less than both the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S6. Camera  The P8's camera has more great features than we know what to do with. It's new Director Mode is one of our favourite features ever to become available on a Smartphone camera. Watch the video to get a great demonstration of how it works. Battery The battery on the Huawei is great. It will last the full day even if you're refreshing your JOE.ie app every couple of minutes!
