There's a good reason you shouldn't jailbreak your iPhones and this is a prime example of that. Jailbreak means that you alter your iPhone to allow it to download other apps that aren't approved by Apple and it can leave your phone vulnerable to malware... which is exactly what has happened. shaking_head_disgust_keanu_reeves The malware, named KeyRaider, targets jailbroken iPhones and steals their Apple information such as their Apple IDs and passwords. KeyRaider targets jailbroken iOS devices and is distributed through third-party Cydia repositories in China. Apparently 225,000 thousand people have had their details stolen across 18 countries and after the data has been take, the malware uploads it to their own servers. Although it's technically possible for an iPhone to get hacked even if it's not jailbroken, it's much more difficult and therefore highly unlikely. Jailbreaking may not be the best idea if you value the safety of your personal information...
