Two bits of news about some of our favourite game franchises have emerged this morning with announcements from Call of Duty and PES

We’re always eager to hear any news about these two franchises that pretty much dominate our lives every time they launch a new installment, so with both of them giving us some news today, we thought we’d lump them in together and give you a whole bundle of information all at once.

Call of Duty: Ghosts looks set to break sales records no matter what happens anyway, but the multi-player reveal will take place on Monday, and is guaranteed to attract a lot of attention. We don’t know, nor do we want to know how many hours of our lives have been lost online to the Modern Warfare 2 & 3 as well as Black Ops in recent years, so we’ll be tuning in to see what they’ve got planned for the latest version.

This year, in the 2014 edition of Pro Evolution, there’s been a new licencing agreement with the Argentine league that will have all the teams from their top flight in the game. Not only will we have River Plate and Boca Juniors, which have often been present, but you can check out the other Arsenal, play a match with Veron who’s back at Estudiantes for one more year, play as Quilmes (one of our favourite beers), or check out Newell’s Old Boys, where new Barcelona manager Gerardo Martinez has arrived from.

The lads at Konami have also been talking about having more announcements come the end of the week, so we’ll be keeping an eye on them to see what other tricks they’ve got up their sleeves.
