All change...

You've probably seen the rumours that the Home button on the next iPhone is set to get the chop, and if the rumours about the price are true, you'll have to take out a loan to afford it. The new phone will presumably be called the iPhone 8, and according to Mac Rumours, will have a 5.8-inch display with 5.15 inches of usable screen. The lower have of the display will be reserved for a function area with virtual buttons (they're eliminating the Home button), and possibly a fingerprint scanner if Apple can get their technology to work through glass. The report comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI securities, who has been very accurate in his predictions in the past. Battery life will also be greatly increased according to the rumours as the new OLED screen will use far less battery than the current LCD screen on the iPhone 7. While these are big changes in the grand scheme of things, KGI say that these will be the only wholesale changes with only minor improvements expected in other aspects of the phone. No more home button, better battery and a function area... pretty big changes if you ask us.
