Worth knowing if you’re heading to the Big Apple anytime soon.

Earlier this year, thanks to users being able to add extra information about careers and education to their profile, Tinder was able to reveal the professions most likely to get a right swipe for both men and women.

Cynics might argue that Tinder users’ initial physical attraction to a potential match is of far greater significance, but hey, if all the single male pilots out there got a little ego boost after coming out on top of the pile in the US, then what’s the harm in that, right?

According to Business Insider, Tinder has since narrowed the focus down to activity in New York and ranked the most popular professions when it came to swiping right for men and women in the Big Apple.

The ranking makes good reading for male engineers, CEOs, nurses, personal trainers and financial analysts and for female teachers, stylists, people working in PR and communications, dental hygienists and CEOs.

Not that we’re encouraging deception or anything, but if you are thinking of doctoring your Tinder profile ahead of a trip Stateside, then it’s worth checking out the list of professions in full below.
